I had my first Ilizarov surgery (bilateral double level tibial lengthening)twenty years ago now and would have another on my arms two years later. I'd have a third procedure on my femurs, but that was with a different device. Over the years I have seen numerous successful outcomes from this procedure, including my own. I actually met Professor Ilizarov at a conference in NY in 1988 and my surgeon studied under him in Kurgan and then brought the procedure to the United States. I wish you the best of luck going forward.Gillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16580415794731215118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4137006669997764040.post-53852664140729427592008-08-30T12:08:00.000-07:002008-08-30T12:08:00.000-07:00Hang in there Mark. I could be wrong, but based on the picture you posted, I think your so-called doctor might in fact be a baker or chef posing as a doctor! I suggest you have one of our investigators check it out!

Seriously, our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go under the knife this last (I hope) time.

Best,
FredFredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707281748727982238noreply@blogger.com
